The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has assigned levels to various degrees of Aviation English fluency. To operate as a pilot, one must achieve a minimum level of 4.

Keep in mind that to start learning Aviation English, you must already know English.
This means that when you take the online placement test, if the system determines that you are level 1 (beginner), you must first study traditional English. Once you advance to level 2, you will unlock the Aviation English course.
If you are already at level 2, you can start at once. Ultimately, our course takes you from beginner to advanced. The advantage of studying with us is that you learn both common and Aviation English.

To advance, you must invest approximately 60 hours of study for each level. To get a job in aviation, you must be at a minimum level of 4. To get from level 1 to level 4 may take 10 months.
